OUR MISSION
Quantum Farm is a breeding and boarding facility located in Québec, Canada. Our mission is to produce high-quality warmblood to thrive in competitive environments. While some of our horses may exhibit unique coloring, our primary focus remains on soundness, performance, and rideability.
Our goal is to propose to the competitive-minded equestrians sport horses with good conformation, strong gaits, excellent jumping abilities and a great work ethic. We strive to breed performance horses that will excel in the hunter jumper ring and as eventers. While it is not the main goal of our program, some of them could also become serious dressage competitors.
OUR VALUES
Quality
‘’Quality is always the result of excellent work without compromise; this is pride of workmanship’’
Integrity
‘’Integrity is doing the right thing even when no one is watching’’
Passion
‘’Find your passion and it’s no longer work; people with great passion can make the impossible happen’’
OUR BREEDING PHILOSOPHY
The key to the success of a breeding program lies in the quality of the broodmares. We emphasize on the pedigree, conformation, quality of the gaits, jumping ability, soundness, and temperament. Some of our mares have had successful competition careers and are already proven producers. All of our mares are inspected and are part of the main mare book of the Westfalen association. Legendary stallions like Quick Star, Alme, Cor de la Bryère, Quidam de Revel, Dobel's Cento (Capitol I), Cassini I and For Pleasure can be found in their pedigrees. We are, first and foremost, a sport horse breeder.
Stallions selections are made from both a genotype and phenotype standpoint. The goal is to find the right stallion to complement each mare and, hopefully, improve the quality of our horses with each generation. We emphasize the suitability of the cross over a fashionable stallion who follows market trends. Our vision of breeding is closely related to the work of a craftsman, and each foal is, for us, a masterpiece.
Our foals are all registered with the Westfalen NA, an association that follows the bylaws of its parent organization in Germany, the Westfälisches Pferdestammbuch. By doing so, all our foals are physically inspected, microchipped, have DNA parentage verification done, and receive their passport from Germany.
OUR HISTORY
The adventure began in 2013 when we purchased our first colored warmblood, a buckskin colt named Quantum. By Quinar (Quidam de Revel) out of a premium cremello Thoroughbred mare, he was the inspiration behind what would become Ferme Quantum Farm. We sadly lost Quantum to severe colic in 2014, but his name lives on as a reminder of the colt who started it all.
In 2015, we acquired the land where Ferme Quantum Farm would take shape. In 2019, we built our first horse facility, with nine indoor stalls and four outdoor paddocks designed to provide horses with regular access to turnout.
As our breeding program has grown, so has our facility. In 2026, we added four additional paddocks, along with four more paddocks equipped with shelters and heated waterers. These improvements allow us to offer more horses safe, comfortable outdoor living while giving us greater flexibility in managing mares, foals and young horses throughout the year.
With the foundation of the farm in place, our focus turned to building a small, selective breeding program based on proven sport-horse bloodlines. We began acquiring quality warmblood mares and developing our own stallion program, with the goal of producing a limited number of well-bred, athletic horses each year.
Today, Ferme Quantum Farm remains intentionally small, allowing us to be closely involved in the development of every horse we breed. Our focus is on producing sport horses with the quality, pedigree, athleticism and rideability to become valued partners for their future riders.
