Corteo W5 -  Morgengold II  - Blue Eyed Dream

Calypso QTM is a striking filly with an excellent frame and a naturally athletic build.  Her friendly, people-oriented temperament makes her a joy to work with, and her natural balance and movement hint at serious sport potential. Calypso is a versatile prospect who could shine in the hunter, or jumper rings. With her confident demeanor and athletic aptitude, she’s sure to turn heads wherever she goes.

Her sire,  Corteo is a breathtaking buckskin Swedish Warmblood stallion who shows a lot of presence. This young horse has a playful personality, a great conformation, as well as balanced and elastic gaits. In 2022, Corteo was presented to the Westfalen inspection and fulfilled the requirements to obtain his provisional license (Stud Book I)! He was described as having a good type, good length of stride, and a balanced canter. Over the jumps, he is clever and shows an excellent bascule. In 2023, he started his training at Tiara Equine where he impressed by his talent over the jumps and his courage.  

His sire, Cyklon 1083, is an internationally proven competitor and a direct son of Olympic Cardento. Cyklon 1083 retired to stud in 2019 with 29 career FEI wins. His performance history includes top placings in Aachen, Dublin, Wellington, La Baule, Gothenburg, and many other elite venues across the US and Europe.  

Her dam, Marilyn Monroe EV, is an elegant mare who possesses floating and elastic gaits. We were captivated by her straightforward personality, as well as her sophisticated appearance.  Marin's sire, Morgengold II, is a palomino German Warmblood stallion bred in Germany and currently located in Ireland. He is registered and branded ZFDP and is approved by both ZFDP and RPSI. Morgengold II is a modern type warmblood stallion with excellent jumping abilities and displays beautiful uphill, elastic, and engaged movement. During his 100-day stallion test, he received the highest score of 10 for character and 8's for both movement and jumping. In Ireland, Morgengold II has successfully competed in show jumping.   

Her second dam,  Barcelona, has competed through First Level with very high marks and is schooling Second Level. She has earned high placings at the USDF Region 3 Championships repeatedly. Her sire, Blue Eyed Dream GF, was a 16-hand cremello imported ZFDP (German Warmblood) stallion. He is known for passing on his sweet, loving temperament and great work ethic to his offspring. He also passed on great athleticism, excellent jumping ability, and beautiful, expressive movement for dressage. He was approved for breeding with the German Oldenburg Verband (GOV) and the American Warmblood Registry. Blue Eyed Dream produced the GP competitor and approved stallion Blue Eyed Ghost.
