 Corteo is a breathtaking buckskin Swedish Warmblood stallion with a striking presence. This young horse combines a playful personality with excellent conformation and well-balanced, elastic gaits.

In 2022, Corteo was presented at the Westfalen inspection, where he fulfilled all requirements to obtain his provisional license (Stud Book I). He was described as having a good type, an impressive length of stride, and a balanced canter. Over fences, he shows a clever mind and a powerful, correct bascule.

In 2023, he began his training at Tiara Equine, where he quickly impressed with his natural jumping talent and courage. Most recently, during a focused training session at Santos Stables, Corteo confirmed the same qualities under saddle: relaxed, consistent, and beautifully adjustable. He maintained steady, balanced gaits through multiple lines, demonstrated clean technique over the jumps, and offered smooth flying changes.

This stallion is an interesting choice for mare owners who are looking to produce hunter and/or jumper prospects. So far,  Corteo’s foals consistently show the same curiosity and courage. They are bold from a young age, quick to explore their surroundings, and confident in new situations. He also tends to pass on his beautiful, expressive head and an unmistakable natural ability over fences.

Corteo’s pedigree brings together athleticism, rideability, and versatility from both sides of his family. His sire, Cyklon 1083, is an internationally proven competitor and a direct son of Olympic Cardento. Known for his exceptional athleticism, cat-like reflexes, careful technique, and remarkable rideability, Cyklon retired to stud in 2019 with 29 FEI victories and top placings at major venues such as Aachen, Dublin, Wellington, La Baule, and Gothenburg. Despite having only a small foal crop in Europe before his importation, he produced quality offspring early on, notably Cobolt, who placed 7th in the 5-Year-Old Young Horse Finals at Zangersheide in 2011 and went on to compete successfully up to 1.60m.

On the dam side, Corteo is out of Cirque du Soleil, a stunning mare known for her excellent conformation, floating gaits, and kind temperament. She enjoyed success in the amateur A-Circuit hunter ring before producing Corteo as her first foal. Her sire, For Play, brought remarkable versatility to the pedigree. He won at 1.40m in Europe as a 5-year-old, then excelled in dressage with mid-70s scores and confirmed FEI movements, and later impressed in the hunter ring with multiple A-rated championships. His sire, For Pleasure, needs little introduction as a two-time Olympic mount, Olympic gold medalist, and Hanoverian Stallion of the Year in 2000.

Completing the foundation of this pedigree is the second dam, Clair de Lune, a premium Swedish Warmblood mare by the buckskin stallion Bernstein. Bernstein, who won his stallion performance test with 9s for trot and canter, left a significant mark as a sire after a career-ending injury halted his performance path. His offspring include numerous international dressage competitors, Breeder’s Trophy winners, and Best in Show horses, a testament to the strength and consistency he brought to the line.
