Far West de la Violle - For Play - Bernstein
Bay Westfalen filly
DOB July 2nd 2022
First Lady QTM is an stunning filly who captures attention with her elegance and and charisma. She impressed us since the first few minutes of her life with her size, strength and straightness. She shows floating and uphill gaits with huges strides. The filly is curious, calm and easy to handle. First Lady is an excellent prospect for the hunter/jumper ring and should mature around 16.3h. During the Westfalen inspection in September 2022, Lady earned a PREMIUM mention by the judge.
Her sire, Far West de la Violle, is a high level jumper prospect located in France. He is a chic stallion with stature, tight in his topline and with a good length of the loins. With superb energy and a good head, he shows good skills, courage, and balance over the fences. He possesses three good gaits, ample and flexible, wich is suitable for both show jumping and eventing enthusiasts. Far West competed up to 1.40m as a 7 years old and is fully approved with the Selle Français Stud-Book. Far West's sire is the BWP Ambassador stallion Orlando (Heartbreaker / Darco / Gibramino). In sport, Orlando had great success with riders Dirk Demeerman and Darrah Kerrins which began during his young horse years in Europe. His resume includes the 2002 6 yr old Belgian Champion, 2nd in the 7/8 yr olds in Aachen, winner of the 2004 CSIO4* 1.50m in Lummen along with many more wins and top five results throughout his career. Far West's dam, Taquine Line, is by the famous Utah van Erpekom. Utah has had numerous wins at the highest level. He is a world-class jumping horse competing Internationally and winning in the best of company, but it is also the tobiano gene that makes him stand out in a crowd.
Her dam, Cirque du Soleil, is a stunning mare by For Play (v. For Pleasure). She possesses an excellent conformation, elastic and floating gaits as well as a wonderful temperament. She competed and won several amateur A Circuit hunter classes. Her first foal, Corteo W5, was awarded as the High Scoring Jumper Foal for the entire SWANA inspection tour in North America. This special horse has been kept has a stallion prospect. Her sire, For Play, competed and won at 1.40m and was schooling 4th Level Dressage before his untimely passing. His Grand Prix sire, For Pleasure, is a 2-time Olympic gold medal winner (Atlanta and Sydney), and was the 2000 Hanoverian Stallion of the Year.
Her second dam, Clair de Lune, was born in Sweden. She is by the well-known stallion Bernstein. Bernstein, won his stallion performance test receiving 9s for trot and canter. High hopes for the performance career of this brilliant buckskin stallion were dashed when shortly after his stallion performance test, Bernstein suffered a severe, career-ending injury. His successes in breeding, however, caught the attention of many as a lot of Bernstein's offsprings have competed to international dressage, and are recipients of Breeder's Trophy awards and Best in Show awards.
